Question Zaishen Dire

I have a question about the Zaishen Menagerie on how to deah level properly to lv 20 dire pets.

Well i was trying killing my self whit vamp mods+[awaken the blood]+[blood is power]

And it seems this is taking way too long ,i was only able to death level a Lurker to 7, After that i thought the pet wasnt getting any exp at all.So i added 2 more heroes using AtB +BiP, I was expecting pets could gain exp from heroes as well but they dont seem to go over lvl 7.

I dont think i understand how this works on the Menagerie i went to the tamer whit the lvl 7 pet added to the zoo and the Lurker is still lv5

wtf?

Does this mean you cant have lvl 20's in Zaishen Menagerie.

What am i doing wrong?

thnx for the help

1) take a hero with Mending and Resurrect skill(s)
2) disable Mending and force cast it on the hero
3) unequip all armor
4) equip a vamp weapon that does not have +health
5) start Charm Animal on the pet you want to level
6) cancel the Charm Animal
7) go afk and let the pet kill you and the hero rez you (make sure the hero is on Avoid)

So, this doesn't work on the lvl 5 pets wandering around the menagerie?

No, it does work. He just meant that by death leveling to level 7 you're not going to get anything. You can unlock higher level pets if you death level them to 12, 15, or 20.

also recently someone posted a guide on this, i cant find the link atm but ill keep looking.

you can add a pet to the menagerie, then depending how many are roaming, you can have a pet to level 20 in as little as 18 minutes, 40 minutes afk i think if there are 4 of them in agro range.

it involves getting to 1hp, then equipping vampiric, then have 2 mesmer heros with 12 fast casting and ressurects that give u <50% health. with a well of power necro too. then when its level 20 u make them cast the res that gives u >50% health [renew life].
then charm it worked wonders for me, had 15 level 20 pets in a day, with all evolutions. hope u find the link

- Run /R with [[Charm Animal], a Vampiric weapon to kill yourself, and a non-Vampiric weapon to keep yourself alive.

- Bring a Me/Rt rezzer with full marks in Fast Casting and Inspiration Magic. They should have [[Flesh of my Flesh] as a minimum, but will need some energy support. [[Lyssa's Aura] and [[Ether Signet] worked for me, but there may be other options. Additionally, you can bring [[Recuperation] to have a chance of pulling you out of streaming death if you can't weapon swap fast enough. The effects of Recuperation don't always affect you fast enough when you come back, so you can't rely on this much.

- Bring a /N with [[Blood is Power]. I bring a Mo/N that also has bonds such as Mending, Succor, and Life Bond, in case I happen to be death leveling a pet in the Menagerie at the training grounds and they'll be attacking back at my rezzer.

- If you yourself are a Necro, you can bring Blood is Power yourself, or some other sac skill to kill yourself faster. If you're a Ranger, you can do the same thing, going R/N. If not, you can bring a R/ or /R hero to charm the pet after you cap it. Since you're capable of doing the death leveling on a PvP character, I see no reason why not to do it with R/N or N/R.

Two mesmer heroes
Hero 1:
[resurrect][ether feast][unyielding aura]
Hero 2:
[resurrect][ether feast][unyielding aura]
Yourself:
[Charm Animal]

Remove all armor, and die a few times, until bored. Twice, if you don't care about it being a dire pet. 4 times is best, and another once or twice after level 12. Do not use vampiric/life saccing.
Equip 5 superior runes.
Disable UA on your heroes, and set them to attack. Remove their weapons.
Go watch half a sitcom.
????
Enjoy your level 20 pet. Usually it will be dire as well.

That doesn't work in menagerie because pets don't attack you...

It does work, as that is how I got all pets with all evolutions in my Menagerie. You are correct that it doesn't work on the level 5 pets walking around. You have to talk to the Trainer and have him spawn the level 12 or 15 version to death level. Considering it only takes 1k Balth Faction to unlock a level 12 version, it isn't hard to get this done.
